Happy Independence Day!

Today is the day of freedom. Freedom from oppression and servitude to a government that recognized not the rights nor wishes of the populace it was to serve. It is this day that our nation was born. It was born out of armed conflict for the greater good of those residing within its borders. A nation weak in numbers, but fortified in its heart, spirit and faith in God for vibrant future. Let us today, amongst all the celebration of our freedoms due to this single act, remember why, and how we have attained this. Let us pause during the festivities and pay homage to those that have fallen under the hands of death. Let us be sure to remember the values we hold dear and continue to spread these to others within our grasp.
